At a ceremony held in Milan on 11th December, Orange Travel Group (SMSMondial’s parent company) have again won the Costa Cruises “Over the Top Award” for 2024.
The award is given annually to Costa’s top-selling agent in the massive geographic region comprising East Europe, South Europe (except Italy, Spain, France), Middle East, & Africa. Including this year, Orange have won this award 9 times out of 15 contests – in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
The award was presented to Orange’s Chief Operating Officer, Claire Micallef by Costa Cruises’ International Sales Director, Mirco Vassallo in the presence of other Costa top officials.
Costa Cruises have been serving Maltese guests since the 1960s, since its ships first started calling at Valletta. With its distinct Italian and Mediterranean relaxed appeal, fabulous cuisine, and glitzy entertainment, Costa has maintained its fresh appeal to all ages of Maltese holiday-makers.
Costa’s cruises departing out of Valletta are the most popular, however there is also ample demand for its North Europe itineraries, as well as other destinations around the world.
Maltese-owned Orange Travel Group and its associate brands, annually serve around 30,000 customers for a turnover of €40 million, making this by far Malta’s largest travel business.
